Yes. The app is free, with no account needed to start and no certificate to pay for. The travel guides on this site are free to read too.
Do I need to know anything about wine?
No. Everything starts from the grape in front of you and builds out. Five minutes is enough to learn something you can use the same night.
How is this different from a wine course?
There is no syllabus and no exam. You learn the grape you are about to drink, when you need it, then explore the places it comes from if you want to travel.
