Off to Grape Places (ABN 91 910 340 415) is based in Australia. This covers our app (app.offtograpeplaces.com) and website (offtograpeplaces.com). Short version: we collect little, we never sell anything, and there are no accounts.
Your app data
Your progress, name (if you enter one), tier, preferences and streak are saved on your own device, in your browser. Clear your browser data or remove the app and it is gone.
Scanning a wine list
In Restaurant Mode, your menu photo or PDF is sent to an outside reading service to extract possible wines and prices. The working list and your corrections stay in this browser session; this flow does not automatically contribute them to our shared wine database. OTGP does not save the photo. The reading service processes it under its own service terms. Other scan flows that contribute menu details explain this before you use them.
Saved choices
If you choose “Choose & save on this device”, the wine name, displayed price and save date are stored in this browser, up to 20 choices. Remove a choice in Restaurant Mode or clear this site’s browser data to delete it. Saved choices do not sync across devices and do not prove an order, purchase or consumption.
Analytics
We use Plausible for aggregate app and website analytics. Restaurant journey events record stages, counts, the referring channel and recognised pilot post, and whether this browser has a choice saved on an earlier day. These events do not include menu text, photos, wine names or venue names. A returning browser is not a verified returning person. Local event history is also kept in the browser.
Email sign-ups
If you enter your email for region guides or wine notes, we store your email and what you asked for, through our email provider Buttondown, with a confirmation step. We never sell it, and you can unsubscribe in one click.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your data. No ads. No ad trackers. No account, login or password.
Cookies
The app uses no tracking cookies. The site and email provider set only the essential cookies needed to work.
Adults only
Grape Places is about wine and is for adults of legal drinking age. It is not for children.

If we change this policy we update the date at the top and post the new version here.
