What the app stores
The app saves your progress, your name if you enter one, your tier choice, your preferences and your streak. All of it is kept locally on your own device, in your browser. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it. If you clear your browser data or remove the app, this information is gone, including your progress.
What we measure
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how the site and app are used in totals, for example how many people start a lesson. Plausible is privacy-first. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not collect personal information. The numbers are anonymous, and Plausible data is hosted in the European Union.
Email sign-ups
If you give us your email through a sign-up form, for example to get a region's three-day itinerary or to hear when a new region lands, we collect your email address and the region or topic you asked about, so we can send what you requested and the occasional update. Our email forms are handled by Buttondown, our email provider, and use a confirmation step, so you are only added if you confirm. We never sell or rent your email, we do not use it for anything else, and you can unsubscribe from any email in one click.
